The Ideal Plan

Option 1: Start as early as possible 6am is really ideal, the Journey from Kolkata to Arambag (on the way) is about 2:45 hrs. At Arambag eating options are “Panthshala” (Basic eatery) or you need to carry your own snack / breakfast. Joypur Forest, Bankura town and Mukutmonipur are places which you can visit in case you are opting for a longer duration tour.
Option 2: (Longer by 50 km but better road):
Take the Kolkata Durgapur expressway and head to Shaktigarh, yes langcha is a must but you can also savour some authentic Bengali breakfast before the sweets can lure you. Mihidana & Shitabhog is also a must try, after this sinful breakfast proceed to Bishnupur. Some shops we suggest for the sweet sin’s are Aroma Restaurant, Charnock’s, Lajawab Restaurent, Food Fantasy, Langcha Plaza, Apna Dhaba, Langcha Kuthi, Mishti Hub, Trinca (Multi-cuisine) and CCD’s on both sides of the road.
In Bishnupur you can indulge in shopping, sightseeing and also immerse yourself into an Adivasi experience or visit Mukutmonipur.
