Bakkhali Beach

Located at the most deltaic island of southern Bengal, Bakkhali Sea beach is a crescent-shaped beach. Stretching 8km from Bakkhali to Fraserganj, this beach is one among the most serene beach with a long coastline in Bengal. A spot with a beautiful sunrise, the beach is a go-to place for picnics and leisure walks. The Bishhalakshmi temple at the end of the Bakkhali beach is worth a visit. The distance is 126 km from Kolkata.

Fraserganj

The area of Fraserganj is popular because of some ancient history. Lord Fraser, a British Official resided in this area. He was so mesmerized by the place that he decided to build it up, but the construction he undertook never got completed, owing to the sea. You can see the windmills in Fraserganj that serve as a power generating location.

Henry’s Island

Henry's Island is a serene island near the village of Bakkhali. The name, Henry's Island, is derived from a British explorer who arrived on the island back in the 19th century. Sunrises and sunsets should never be missed here, and you can stroll across the beach all day long. Jambu Dwip

The Crocodile Park in Bakkhali is the only crocodile reservation park in West Bengal and one of the few in the world. Bakkhali Breeding centre has a huge collection of crocodiles, with a variant in almost every stage of life from the birth to old age

Start as early as possible 6-7 am is really ideal, the Journey from Kolkata to Diamond Harbour (on the way) is about 2 hrs. At Diamond Harbour eating options are “Hotel Sagorika [WBTDCL]”, Hotel Punyalakshmi some reasonably good options for food is available at Kakdwip also – Star Food Court and Daibaki coffee house are some options.
Once you reach Mousuni its time to chill & eat around the beaches. Some sightseeing can also be added but the primary indulgence is to soak in the sea and sea food.
